What is Sponsored Search Engine Placement (Pay Per Click)?

Paid search is another term for Pay Per Click.  Paid search is a business model whereby a company that has placed an advertisement on a website pays a sum of money to the host website when a user clicks on to the advertisement. The highest bidders usually have greater visibility and are placed on top of the page. In Google AdWords, the cost of an advertisement listing is based on a combination of factors that include the keyword, the advertisement, the bid price, and the quality of your website or landing page.  This is also referred to as Quality Score.   Advertisers only pay if there is an actual click on their advertisement.

How much is the cost of each click to my website?

Every advertiser is required to place a maximum bid price on each specific keyword/phrase. These will be used as the basis for the amount that the advertiser would have to pay every time there is a click to the advertiser’s advertisement. You will have to establish a maximum Cost per Click bid and a Total Daily Budget.  This keeps you from overspending and exceeding your daily advertising budget.
