Why Are My Adwords Ads Not Showing When My Daily Budget Has Not Reached It’s Limit?

This is one of the most common questions we get.  When you put your money into an advertisement, you expect to see it!  And you should. Unfortunately, Google has pulled your ad in an effort to help you out.  As a result, your adwords ads are not showing, even though you haven’t exhausted your daily budget.

Imagine this scenario…

Your monthly budget is $3000 and your daily budget is set at $100.  As you may or may not know, setting a daily budget prevents you from burning through your entire $3000 monthly budget within five days. Well, the same logic applies to your daily budget.  When you have $100 set for a day, Google tries to make sure it lasts for 24 hours.

What is the logic in that? If I can’t see my ad, I can’t get customers, right?  Right, but there is a work around.  Chances are good that you can add more budget to be seen more often.  But that isn’t the best route for everyone.

The best way to handle this is to setup preferred times to display your ads.  This way, you are more likely to see them when you go looking for them.

Here is the catch though – you’re not the one buying your product or service.  So it really doesn’t matter whether you see it or not.  Your ad needs to be seen by buyers, not by management.  Taking ads down at times that don’t work for you or your boss isn’t the best strategy.

The best thing to do is look at your analytics and try to determine times that your site gets most visitors, and target traffic to those times.
